Time lapse sequences of photographs taken by Ron Garan

28 & 29 onboard the International Space Station from August to October,
2011, who to my knowledge shot these pictures at an altitude of around
350 km with a high ISO HD Camera developed by NHK Japan,
nicknamed the SS-HDTV camera. All credit goes to them.
I intend to upload a FullHD-version presently.

HD, refurbished, smoothed, retimed, denoised, deflickered, cut, etc.
All in all I tried to keep the looks of the material as original as possible,
avoided adjusting the colors and the like, since in my opinion the original
footage itself already has an almost surreal and aestethical visual nature.

Subject: Epic
I can summarise this video with two words: Awesome & Epic.

I could stare at this video for hours, and I would still be amazed. It really shows the beauty of the earth. In fact, this video reminds me a lot of the movie "2001: A Space Odyssey" (I haven't read the book). There are several shots that are really similar. In a matter of difference from the film, however, this video is not recorded in a studio - It's consistant of real photographs, and it shows what the world looks like from above.

Lifts the heart and feeds the brain-- this has the same effect for me as the original "marble" shot.
